From what I understood if you want the inpatient records, you need to know the hospital and date because that's how they're sent to the archives. With that, the archives folks should be able to track it down - St. Louis again maybe? If it's not there, maybe they can direct you. Vernon is right, inpatient records are filed according to the hospital where you were treated. Here is how to request those records from St. Louis: Access to Clinical and Medical Treatment Records by the Veteran, Next-of-Kin, or Person of Record
You will need to provide the name of the hospital, the month (if known) and year of treatment, along with your full name and Social Security or service number.
