          Dear Ms. Nicholson,

Thank you for posting on History Hub!

The Corrections and Rehabilitation section of the Miami-Dade County’s website has an inmate lookup tool. The public can search by first and last names to find specific inmates.

The Clerk of the Courts for Miami-Dade County is responsible for all court records in the county. The public can access these records via the Miami-Dade Courts Online System. For civil, family, and probate court records, use the search tool on the website of the Clerk of the Courts. Users must first register for the Online System and log in to use this tool. They can search for court records by the names of the parties involved, case numbers, and hearing dates. For criminal cases, visit the Criminal Justice Online System page. This tool also allows the public to search for judges and their calendars.

If none of the above options are useful, we suggest you contact the Clerk of the Courts for Miami-Dade County directly at cocpubreq@miamidade.gov.

We also found this handy website that gives an overview of where to find different types of records in Miami-Dade County: https://florida.staterecords.org/miamidade.

We hope this information is helpful to your research!
