Seeking military records for Wing Poy Ng

    Ricky Leo Newbie

I am on the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) SoCal Congressional Gold Medal (CGM) Committee. We are delivering the CGM to the living Chinese American WWII Veterans in the Southern California region and have not been able to get the military service information for Wing Poy Ng from his son. I have already put a request in through NPRC.  We are planning a virtual ceremony honoring our Chinese American WWII Veterans in Southern California on Memorial Day and need this information.

          Dear Ricky Leo,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NPRC will continue servicing requests ONLY associated with medical treatments, burials, and homeless veterans seeking admittance to a homeless shelter. If your request is urgent, please see Emergency Requests and Deadlines. Please refrain from submitting non-emergency requests such as replacement medals, administrative corrections, or records research until NPRC returns to pre-COVID staffing levels. Please check archives.gov/veterans for updates to the NPRC operating hours and status. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
