    Seeking Postal Branch Memoranda

    Anthony Bard Wayfarer

Where can I find the records of the Adjutant General's Section Postal Branch, General HQ, Far East Command for 1950-53? In particular I am trying to locate Postal Memoranda.

After a search in the National Archives catalog a possible records series of interest was discovered.

We searched within the Department of Defense. Far East Command. Signal Section and located the series General Correspondence 1947-1952. Part of Record Group 554, Records of General Headquarters, Far East Command, Supreme Commander Allied Powers, and United Nations Command, 1945 - 1960, it may have postal division memoranda.

We also encourage you to use the advanced search feature of the National Archives Catalog to search within RG 554 mentioned above and RG 338: U.S. Army Operational, Tactical, and Support Organizations.

For more information about these records and other possibly relevant records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) at archives2reference@nara.gov.
