Seeking remains or info on relative MIA WWII Baltic Sea

    Meredith Larsen Newbie

      Hello,

I am looking for information on Ralph Munoz. Ralph was adopted as a child and married our grandmother- therefore we would sadly not have anyone to DNA match unless we could somehow find descendants of his birth parents. This is the info we have:

MUNOZ, RALPH --2 LT ARMY AIR FORCE BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON 96 BOMBARDMENT GROUP (HEAVY) 4/11/1944 NON RECOVERABLE BALTIC SEA

      DOB:  3/12/1916

San Bruno, CA (San Mateo County)

Married to/Next of kin: Evelyn Mae Refenburg Munoz (our grandmother)

Additional info: he was part of HAVOC INC (New Mexico) DAAF 43-14

      1. Is there any way we can register to be notified if his remains are eventually found and identified?

      2. Are there any searches currently going on in the Baltic or have there ever been any recoveries there?

      3. How can I find out more about his medals/awards?

      4. How can I find out if there are any additional military reports/information about him that I can request?

So grateful for any assistance!  Thank you.
