Dear Ms. Johnson,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
The National Archives is the repository for the permanently valuable non-current records of the Federal Government. We have no authority to authenticate historical objects. You may wish to contact the US military service museum corresponding to your father’s branch of services for advice regarding the photographs.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!

There are often clues within the pictures themselves that can help identifying a location or approximate date of a photograph. Uniforms, weapons, vehicles and their markings, aircraft and their markings, buildings, and signs can all be of help in identification. If you can post some of the less graphic shots, there are folks in History Hub who can assist you.
I hope you find this information of use.
