Re: Seeking information about Kitty Fagin
Susannah Brooks Mar 29, 2021 12:18 AM (in response to GLORIA SMITH)In 1893 James Henderson married Emma Clark.
At the end of 1874 a person named Butler Clark married a Emma Pemberton (both black) in Wilkinson Co MS. I could not figure out if this is the right Emma. M (familysearch.org)
Kitty's maiden name was Roach according to her marriage record. But looking at the names of Emma's children in the 1900 census, Kitty is listed by age before the 2 Clark children, with the 2 Roach children born 1886 & 1892.
Maybe if you could obtain the death certificates of Kitty and some of her siblings, you might find the names of their fathers.

Ancestry.com - 1910 United States Federal Census Reason one only takes census info for the clues it might provide, not as absolute truth.
