It looks like the Library of Congress holds the Marquis de Lafayette papers: Marquis de Lafayette papers, 1757-1990 (Library of Congress Finding Aid)

EDIT: there are also some Lafayette files at Independence Hall's special collections library, which can be reached at 215-597-8047
