Seeking anyone that served with Bobby Childress

    Dee Childress-Byrum Newbie

I am seeking anyone that served in the Army in Korean from June 12, 1956 - May 29, 1958, in the Company with my Father, BOBBY J. CHILDRESS. He worked in and with the Medic hospitals.

          Dear Ms. Childress-Byrum,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

Copies of most of the monthly rosters from 1947 - 1959 for Army units are in the custody of the National Archives at St. Louis, MO. For more information about these records, please contact the National Archives at St. Louis (RL-SL) via email at stl.archives@nara.gov.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RL-SL. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.

The National Archives does not have the present addresses of former service personnel or their survivors on file.  Please review NARA’s Locating Veterans and Service Members web pages for some ideas on how to locate the persons you seek.

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
