Carded Service Records of Hospital Attendants..... Tagging/Transcription

I am a working on transcriptions for the Carded Service Records of Hospital Attendants, Matrons and Nurses 1861-1865. I notice other Citizen Archivists are adding tags to the records I transcribe.

Question: What is the correct procedure for completing a record? Transcription and tags? Transcription only? Tags only?

I want to do all the necessary work, but avoid any unnecessary effort.

Hi Kathy,
This mission is listed as a transcription mission. So our priority is to have it transcribed. People are welcome to tag it as well, but we've determined that transcription is the most useful contribution for this set of records. You should not worry if tags are also added to the page you transcribed.
