1 person found this helpfulHi Carole -- thanks for posting to History Hub!
To find public testimony before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) I recommend searching the Cumulative Index to Publications of the Committee on Un-American Activities, 1938-1954 and the Supplement to Cumulative Index to Publications of the Committee on Un-American Activities: 1955 through 1960, both of which are freely available online through the Internet Archive.
I also want to link to the index for the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee (SISS), which is the Senate's sister committee to HUAC. The 21-Year Index: Combined Cumulative Index 1951-1971 is available via Hathi Trust. Please note that Volume I covers A-K and Volume II covers L-Z.
I don't see anything in these indexes specifically on the Rev. Ben F. Wyland, but you can check for other names. A general search for "Rev" shows many results.
Regarding the Florida Legislative Investigative Committee, it was established by the Florida State Legislature so records relating to the committee will most likely be in Florida. I see information on the Johns Committee from the University of Florida, University of South Florida, and University of Central Florida libraries. You may also want to check with the State Archives of Florida.
If you have specific questions about HUAC or SISS records, which are held in Washington, DC at the Center for Legislative Archives, you're always welcome to email us directly at legislative.archives@nara.gov.
Cheers!
