Dear Ms. Huntly,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
According to the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa, South African military records are kept by the Department of Defence Archives at the South African Military Records Centre. They may be contacted via email at sandfdoc@mweb.co.za. Also see Military Records in South Africa and South Africa Military Records for more information. In addition, we searched online and located a fact file regarding Prince Alfred’s Guard.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
