I found a thread is this what you are seeking? If this information is correct please see your father service number and information for you to continue your search. Would highly recommend requesting his Military file from the NPRC in St. Louis, MO. Currently they are only processing "Emergency" request and you will have to wait until they resume normal operations.
Comments: Reply to Tom Eubank: My father was Gayle W. Huston and served with the 2FOB starting with 18th FA Bde under 8th Corps at Camp Bowie, TX before deploying to North Africa, Italy, France, Germany. He passed away in 1975 and never talked about his WWII experiences. So, yes would very much like to have any information, stories, pictures, etc. you can provide.
