Seeking award citations for Donald Raker

I'm helping a friend search for information about how his father came to be awarded a Purple Heart and a Silver Star in World War II. Family lore says he did a motorcycle courier run and was trapped behind enemy lines for two days before escaping.  If the information below can help find out how more about these awards, beyond wounded in combat, we'd both very much appreciate it -- Enlisted Record and Report of Separation - Honorable Discharge 11672; Donald G Raker; DOB 12/22/1919; Army Serial No.37155036; Organization: HQ BTRY 395 Armored FA BN; Military Occupational Specialty: Agent Liaison 503; Battles and Campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes; Wounds Received in Action: 09/08/1944; Awarded Purple Heart: GO 8 345th FA BN-44 and Silver Star:  GO 135 HQ 90th 44.
