Seeking how to obtain citizenship of tribe

My great grandma was married to a Indian chief of a tribe but I don't know which one. But I do know it was Cherokee and would love to know how to obtain citizenship. Her name was Nellie Richards.

There are 85 people with the last name of Richards on the Dawes Rolls but no Nellie.
Did she use any other name?
