We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the series Standard Drawings of Civil and Military Projects, ca. 1934 - ca. 1968 in the Records of the Office of the Chief of Engineers (Record Group 77) that contains some architectural plans, engineering drawings, and site maps about military installations in Michigan, including K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base and others. We also located the series Standard Drawings of Civil and Military Projects, ca. 1940 - ca. 1960 in Record Group 77 that consists of architectural plans, engineering drawings, and site maps depicting Air Force stations and air fields, Army forts and camps, and other military installations in the District of Michigan. And we located the series Research and Development Records, 1949-1974 in the Records of Naval Districts and Shore Establishments (Record Group 181) that includes some records related to Project ELF. In addition, we located the series Subject Files, 1991-1995, which includes records related to Project ELF, and the series Subject Files, 2005-2006 in the Records of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Record Group 330).
