I also found an entry in the Iowa "Consecutive Registers of Convicts" (via Ancestry) that includes Sorensen. (You may need to open it in a new tab in order to read it.) Here it is:
If you're looking for more, you might try writing to the local clerk of court, who probably has court papers. Let us know if we may be of further assistance.

Dear Ms. Yagodich,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Since the case did not involve a Federal court, the National Archives would not have custody of the case file. As suggested by another poster, please contact the O'Brien County Clerk of Court as well as the Iowa State Archives.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
