Why do I need a login to add transcription to your catalog?

I love the idea of the transcription tool in the catalog, but was wondering why I need a login to use it. Mainly I'm just terrible with remembering passwords, but I also want to make sure my information is secure. If I decide to sign up, what information do you collect?

We require contributors create accounts so that their contributions and can be tracked and maintained. This also cuts down on spam submitted through catalog contributions.

We collect only your email address and the answers to your security questions (to help with auto-resetting your password if you forget it). Yes, the catalog will display the user name of the contributor and the date and time the tag or transcription was submitted.
