Morton's parents were Asa (or Esa) D. Howe (1816-1863) and Clarilla (or something similar) A. Bacon, who were married in Ashtabula Co, OH in 1838. Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-2016; https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-G5YY-S9R?cc=1614804&wc=ZRQK-2NL%3A121347501%2C121419501
