Is the NY County Clerk Archives Open?

    Joseph Saccio Newbie

I have been trying to contact (below) but no one answers. Are they open? I'm trying to get certified copies of NYC naturalization papers. TY

The County Clerk of New York County has custody of the records of the Court of Common Pleas (1786-1895) and the Petitions of Naturalization records (1794-1924) for State courts in Manhattan only. For access to these records, please contact Joseph Van Nostrand, Division of Old Records, 31 Chambers Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10007.
