Re: Seeking family of Alfio Magri and Teresa Miceili
B E Jan 21, 2021 2:37 PM (in response to Diane Magri)1 person found this helpfulHi, have you tried contacting members of the Magri family around Palermo who are in business? There's a café owner, for example, of the same name. https://www.pasticceriamagri.com/ und https://www.facebook.com/pasticceriamagripiccolo/ They say the've been in business since 1950. So there might be any older family members who might remember an uncle or ancestor who left for the Americas.
Phone books: https://www.dastelefonbuch.de/Auslandsauskunft/Telefonbuch--Italien
This is a list of Italian phone books (mostly in Italian)
Here's around 10 members of the Magri family in Palermo.

And here in the greater area: https://www.paginegialle.it/ricerca/magri/Palermo%20(PA)
All best for your search!

Dear Ms. Magri,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
In addition to the information from the previous poster, we suggest that you search Antenati: Italian Digital State Archives, the FamilySearch index for Italy, Palermo, Civil Registration (State Archive), 1809-1925 and/or contact the appropriate Stato Civile for guidance on how to obtain the family records that you seek about the families of Alfio Magri and Teresa Miceili. We also suggest that you contact the Library and Archives Canada for any records about the family in Canada that may augment your research.
Please review the FamilySearch Research wikis for Palermo, Sicily, Italy Genealogy and Cosenza, Calabria, Italy Genealogy.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
