Seeking a roster of those serving  under Frederick Mitchell during WWII

It has been suggested that my father, William Roy Neilson, may have served with Frederick Mitchell's crew during WWII.  I know he was stationed in Iowa during 1943, possibly 1942, and shipped out either in December of 1943 or early 1944.  Who would I approach to obtain those records?

          Dear Ms. Schwaighofer,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

Copies of most of the monthly rosters from November 1912 - 1943 and 1947 - 1959 for Army units are in the custody of the National Archives at St. Louis, MO. These records are arranged by unit. Once you know the unit information, please contact the National Archives at St. Louis (RL-SL) via email at stl.archives@nara.gov. Rosters for units serving in World War II from 1944 - 1946 were destroyed in accordance with Army disposition authorities.

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
