Step 1: Make sure you're signed in to History Hub with your user account, or register for a free account.
Step 2: On any page, click "New" ...
... or start typing your question in any field that asks "What is your question about?" and click the "Ask" button.
You'll see similar questions that have been asked before, which may answer your question already.
Step 3: If you don't see a similar question that has already been asked, hit the "Ask" button and fill out the form. Be sure to fill out both the Subject and the Description fields:
Step 4: Add information to your question in the Description field. The more relevant information you can give, the better! It's helpful to include where you've already looked, as well.
You can also add an image to your post or reply by clicking on the "Insert" button and going to "Image".

If your post contains PII or prohibited language, you will need to resubmit your question. We believe a well-managed community will be more valuable to all members, so please maintain respectful discourse.
Step 6: Just hit "Post" once you're done. Your question will appear as soon as the moderators can look it over, which we do during business hours. That's it!
Step 7: Did you forget to add some information to your question? Once your post has been approved, you can go back and edit your question! See How to: Edit My Post.
Step 8: Questions are generally responded to in the order they are received, depending on complexity and respective staff workload. You may get helpful replies from other community members before a staff response.
