If you are logged into History Hub with your free account, you can receive notifications for a group or for a particular forum, question thread, article, or blog post. Notifications can be delivered by both email and "live alerts" on History Hub.
Community Notifications
Enables daily or weekly email updates within a specific community, including new blog posts and questions.
On the Community's Overview page, click "Email digest options" in the right-column sidebar:
Then select the frequency:
And click "Save".
Viewing Community Email Subscriptions
To see all the Communities you are subscribed to, go the the "Email Digests" tab on your User Settings:
(Note that receiving notifications from a Community will not send you notifications from any of its related Communities. These must be followed individually.)
Forum Notifications
Enables notifications for new threads and replies within a specific Question and Answer Forum.
Click the "Turn Forum notifications on" link in the sidebar of the Forum's homepage:
(To turn off notifications, click "Turn Forum notifications off.")
Viewing Forum Subscriptions
To see all the Question and Answer Forums you are subscribed to, go the the "Subscriptions" tab on your User Settings:
Thread Notifications
Enables notifications for replies to a specific question thread.
Click the "Turn Reply notifications on" link in the sidebar of the Question:
(To turn off notifications, click "Turn Reply notifications off".)
Getting Updates
Once you Follow something, you will see updates in your History Hub notifications:
You can also receive email notifications if you enable it in your User Settings under the "Options" tab:

You can choose which specific actions will create a Notification on the Notifications tab of your User Settings
Stop Receiving Notifications
There are a number of ways to stop receiving notifications. You can click the link at the bottom of any email you receive from History Hub. You can go to your settings and select "Unsubscribe" under the Email Digests and Subscriptions tabs, or you can deselect "Email" from any individual item or all items under Notifications.
