I run now over some questions/problems:   1) How do I find German records, which need to be transcribed or reviewed, when I do not want to go trough all pages of the project?   2) While going through some projects I noticed, mainly newspaper… (Show more)

Seeking information on the death of Clara Gordon (Orr) Zenner who died near Torgau, Germany 1 May 1945.  Given the date, I assume it could have something to do with the linkup of American and Russian soldiers in WWII.  A family story says she was "shot outside home by Russian soldier."

NARA Rolle für das AOK 7 (T312 R1566) - Max Simoneit erhielt im Zweiten Weltkrieg des Ritterkreuz. Möglicherweise war das eine Fehlentscheidung. Können Sie mir das bestätigen?   Translation: NARA Roll for the AOK 7 (T312 R1566) - Max Simoneit received the Knight's Cross in World War II. Maybe it was a wrong decision. Can you confirm that?

I am trying to find out about a Baron Gregorowski who lived in the castle at Stara Lubovna (located in present day Slovakia) during the 1810’s and 1820’s.  This may not be the exact spelling of his surname; for example, I have seen references to Gersky, Gergersky, or Gregorski.  He would be my third great-grandfather.  According to the family… (Show more)

I am trying to find information about the death of my Grandfather.  His first name was Wladislaw or Wasel, and his surname may have been spelled Zaluszczak, Haluszczak, or Halusczak.  It is believed that he died in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1920 or 1921.  His cause of death is unknown.  He was probably Roman Catholic.  It is not known where he is… (Show more)

I've spent hours online, and I still can't figure out how to track down my grandfather's/great-grandmother's Polish passport. They emigrated from Poland in 1922. I found their ship manifest on the Ellis Island website. I have my grandfather's Certificate of Naturalization, and I just requested his other naturalization documents from the… (Show more)

I am searching for my grandparents place and date of marriage. Possible marriage range 1933-1939. We believe my grandmother received a small payment from the Government for my grandfathers’ time spent in WWI and we also believe my grandmother collected on Grandfathers Social Security.  I’m guessing if my grandmother did collect on either or both,… (Show more)
