Somebody donated his father's World War 2 "things" to my library and in looking through them, I see several are marked Top Secret, or Secret.  Things like Field Orders, and an Operation Report.  With WW2 being roughly 76 years ago, would these still be secret or are they OK to put in our public archive? Thanks for any information.

My father James J Delvin was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.  His discharge papers indicate the award was issued per GO 67 Hq 12 AF.  I was hoping to obtain a copy of the order.  He never discussed the circumstances of the award and I was hoping to learn more.
