My 4th great-grandfather, John McDaniel or McDonald, applied for his Revolutionary War pension in Tennessee (his service was in NC).  He was rejected and died in 1833 and then his widow reapplied with the help of her son James trying to prove his service.  She died during the process in 1849 and then her surviving children applied.  Apparently… (Show more)
