Hello!   I am looking for military records for Walther Grunder who was a navigator on B-17 Flying Fortresses out of Italy. I know he was with the15th AF. 97th Bomb Group. The 414th Bombardment Group. Is there a way to decipher an ORD stamp on a watch to determine age or even who it was issued to or other information? On the back of a watch there is a stamp "ORD DEPT USA OF-198763." I wonder if there is a way to track this number to find out about the watch's lineage.
