The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the repository of the permanently valuable historical records of the United States government. Although we have historical records of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in Record Group 75, the BIA is only responsible for managing the U.S. government's relationship with federally recognized Native American tribes in the United States.
For records relating to Indigenous tribes in Mexico, we recommend that you contact archival repositories in Mexico, such as the Archivo General de la Nación (General Archive of the Nation, or Mexico's national government archives).
We hope this assists you with your research!
Sincerely,
