Thank you for posting your question on History Hub!
We have an Index to Application Numbers and Names in the Baker Roll, which lists each Baker Roll applicant and their application number. We checked this index for references to Lola May Ross, Wonda June Ross, Nieva Ross, Beverly Ross, and Harmond Ross, but we did not find any references to these individuals in the index.
The 1928 Baker Roll is digitized if you would like to search it directly. Please see How can I view the Baker Rolls? for information about accessing the records online.
However, the 1928 Baker Roll only lists enrolled members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, whose headquarters is in North Carolina. If your family members were affiliated with the Cherokee in Oklahoma, then you might consider researching the Dawes Rolls, which relate to the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Tribes of Oklahoma. An Index to the Final Rolls of Citizens and Freedmen of the Five Civilized Tribes in Indian Territory is digitized in the National Archives Catalog. Dawes enrollment cards (also known as census cards) and enrollment applications (also known as enrollment jackets) are also digitized in the National Archives Catalog. The blog post How to Search the Dawes Rolls by Name in the National Archives Catalog explains how to search these records.
We invite you to continue the conversation with community members on History Hub, but should you have follow-up questions for the staff at Archives 1, please email us at archives1reference@nara.gov so that we can assist you further.
We hope this assists you with your research!
Sincerely,
Archives 1 Reference Branch (RR1R)
