Dear Ms. Wilson,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
The tribes collectively known as the Blackfeet Nation are located in the northern plains of the United States and Canada. They have not been located in or relocated from Tennessee. We suggest that you review the FamilySearch Research wiki for Indigenous Peoples of Tennessee for more information about the native peoples of Tennessee.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!

I'm live in Dayton TN & I know they had to be a tribe that went by the the name Black Feet & I'm pretty sure they had to be black...... Because I have found quite a few stones artifacts in a creek behind my home with the words Black Feet on them & most of the the pics on them are of black people.
Hello,
Thank you for your analysis... my grandmother was raised in TN. Her father my great granddad, was Black foot... 100%.... When I look online it states that, he was black instead of Black foot Indian. My grandmother was raised native therefore also Blackfoot. she knew her lineage... I am having a hard time trying to prove my bloodline and locating my tribe because, My great grandfather and grandmother were listed as Black and not native.
My family was raised in Tennessee as well, and I was always told that my grandfather was 100% Blackfoot as well.He was born on the reservation and everything.
Why is it so hard to find our tribe?
Same! My great grandmother was from Tennessee also - Blackfoot tribe. But they say Blackfoots, were in Alberta and the Dakotas, not Tennessee.
