I don't have much info, USS Fletcher DD-445 would be between 1963 and 1965. The USS Fort Fisher LSD-40 would be between 1972 and 1973.

Thank you for posting your question on History Hub in regards to Golden Shellback Recognitions!
Unfortunately, the certificates and cards Sailors receive as mementos for crossing the Equator, Prime Meridian, 180th Meridian, the Arctic Circle, and similar crossings are not official documents, and as such, a ship receiving a recognition is not easily discoverable. You could check the Deck Logs for the ships in question and see if there's a mention of crossing the International Date Line. The Deck Logs for the USS Fletcher (DD-445) are available online here: https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/594258?q=fletcher&sort=relevant
The Deck Logs of the USS Fort Fisher (LSD-40) are trickier, as the dates you are interested in are post-1970, as post-1970 Deck Logs may contain instances of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and need to be reviewed and redacted in accordance with FOIA exemption (b)(6). Once the Deck Log has been redacted the digital images will be added to our online Catalog. We have prioritized the deck logs you have requested for upload; however, we can provide no specific estimates as to when these log books will be available in the National Archives Catalog. The ones that are available can be found here: https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/594258?q=%20Fort%20Fisher%20%28LSD-40%29&sort=relevant
We hope this assists you with your research!
