seeking deck logs of USS Hassayampa (AO-145)

Question

I was a QM2 on the USS Hassayampa (AO-145) from 1967 to 1971. I'm having difficulty verifying that we pulled into DaNang Harbor and need to search the logs. What is the best way to do this? If anyone has had experience with this particular issue, please let me know what you did to find what you were looking for.

 The deck logs for the requested ship and dates are digitally available on the National Archives&rsquo; online Catalog. You are welcome to check the Catalog for uploads. We encourage you to search for the name of the ship without using &ldquo;USS&rdquo; as a prefix. Our catalog of digitized Navy Deck Logs is available within Record Group 24, Entry P 118 ; use the &ldquo; Search within this Series &rdquo; bar to search for a specific ship. 
 As another community member has already mentioned, you may also wish to search for &ldquo;Da Nang&rdquo; alongside the ship&rsquo;s name and hull number to narrow your dates further. Please note that not every deck log has been transcribed or OCR&rsquo;d yet, so while this will help you get started, it will NOT provide a comprehensive list of every time Da Nang is mentioned in the USS Hassayampa &rsquo;s deck logs.
