Was the USS Vesuvius AE15 within 12 nautical miles seaward of the demarcation line of Vietnam?

Does anyone know if the USS VESUVIUS AE15 was within 12 Nautical miles seaward of the Demarcation line of Vietnam? Can not seem to find the most recent list of U.S. Navy ships that were in this region from 1970 to 1974. Any help is welcome. THANK YOU.

Yes. The only comprehensive list is VA's non-public database of AO exposed vessels which we obtained through a FOIA request. There are just short of 500 dates/times Vesuvius was in AO exposed waters from '70 to '72. Since VA is already aware of those events, there is really no need for you to submit a log, but we are providing a random eligible log for you to provide if you prefer. (Note - only a single qualifying log date is needed to substantiate exposure so long as your service record confirms you were on board.)

 The U.S. Navy Deck Logs for the USS Vesuvius (AE-15) for the dates of January 1971 through August 1973 are held at the National Archives in College Park, MD. The ship was decommissioned in August 1973 and therefore there are no Deck Logs for the ship beyond that date. These records are held in Record Group 24, Entry P 118-F, Series: U.S. Navy Ship Deck Logs.
