OSS in Burma during WWII

I am researching two American Baptist missionaries working in Burma before and during WWII. I believe that they were both recruited by OSS in the Allied effort to retake Burma from the Japanese. They were brothers and their names were Harold Young and Marcus Vincent Young. Does anybody have any suggestions about which documents I should be looking at? With many thanks, Joel Cabrita

Thank you for posting your question to History Hub!

We have performed a search in our OSS Indexes which include the Personnel Files and Personal Name Index but were unable to locate records searchable by the names Harold Young and Marcus Vincent Young.  In addition, we also searched in the comprehensive list of OSS personnel, which we have accessed from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), but were again unable to locate the brothers.  The Records of the Office of Strategic Services have several, well described indexes that may assist with your research.  Such indexes include code name, point of origin, topical, and many others.  Since we are unable to find them by name, a search will have to be conducted through other facts such as the name of a mission they were a part of, a field station they worked with, or OSS personnel they may have worked with.
We will be happy to make the records and their finding aids available to you or your representative in the Textual Research Room (Room 2000) here at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland. Please visit our website for information about visiting the National Archives in College Park, MD, including how to schedule a research visit.

We hope this assists you with your research!
