3138 Signal motor messenger company

I'm looking for information about my grandfather's, Floyd C. Evans, service during WW2. His records were unfortunately destroyed in the fire at the national archives.

I recently found his dd214, and it shows that he was a 345 (truck driver) with the 3138th Signal Motor messenger company. According to my dad, he drove generals around but not much else is known.

According to his dd214, he also received 4 bronze battle stars. He was in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Any research help would be truly appreciated.
