Thank you so much for your assistance. What an amazing service you provide!
Aw, anytime Pamela.. if you should have anything particular that you have a question on to be answered, my field of study is of WWI, so please, do not hesitate to ask..
Pamela,
I am going to add 2 links for you to visit and read through their entirety at your discretion; the first is a site that was created and written by the grandson of one of the soldiers John Hanus fought alongside in the 132nd Infantry, a soldier by the name of Charles Dermody. His grandson was given his grandfather's diary, and upon this, created the website showing maps of where the 132nd had gone and fought, photos from the troops ship John and he were on with the 132nd, photos from 2 trips he made to Europe to trace the footsteps of his grandfather. There are links on the left side of each page, and links within those links. It is one of the most thorough and few sites I have ever come across, that are as wonderful a tribute as this. It is truly beautiful, and the amount of time and effort he put into this, is simply astounding.
The second link is a draft study of "THE 33RD DIVISION ALONG THE MEUSE; OCTOBER 1918".

GAS WARFARE IN WORLD WAR I - STUDY NUMBER 8
OFFICE OF THE CHIEF CHEMICAL OFFICER
Study was released per the authority of the DTIC (Defense Tech Information Center) on a one
Jan 16 , 1987.
This was a difficult read, not because of any issues of it's legibility, but because of it's blatant reality.
War is neither glamorous nor attractive. It is monstrous. Its very nature is one of tragedy and suffering. War is like a fire in the human community, one whose fuel is living beings.
