civil war records - 2nd Great Grandfather

Question

HI - I am trying to track information on my 2nd Great Grandfather, James McIntosh. 
 He was born in Mass, but what I understand that he joined the Union forces once he moved to Wisconsin. I found an index card with his name and looks like invalid index card that mentioned his wife, Cornelia. I did try to go to Fold3 and did not have much luck in finding records. The only thing that I could find is that he might have been injured during Bull Run. 
 Any suggestion would be great. He lived in Lodi Wisconsin during this time.

 We searched the Civil War Soldiers & Sailors Index via the National Park Service and we were able to identify Compiled Military Service Records pertaining to Private J.A. McIntosh/James A. McIntosh, Company A, 1st Wisconsin Heavy Artillery. It also appears he served with Company K, 2nd Wisconsin Infantry. You may order his Compiled Military Service Records at eservices.archives.gov . Please submit two separate NATF 86 Forms for each of the regiments he served with. 
 Finally, you may also order his pension at eservices.archives.gov using NATF Form 85.
