Where can I find Military Records.

Question

Im looking for Military record, not Personnel or medical records, but real ground level fighting military records. My husband was a POW for 10 mos in Vietnam and I have a form from 1990 from the NPRC that states that, but I cannot find any other records to go into more detail. I&rsquo;ve tried The National archives and NPrC and they only have discharge and Personnel records. Should I go directly to the Army and see if they have any records? Thanks in advance

 The Textual Reference Archives II Branch (RR2RR) has custody of the Records of the U.S. Forces in Southeast Asia, 1950 - 1976 (Record Group 472) . These records represent the primary documentation of Army operations during the Vietnam War. These records consist mostly of unit organizational histories, after action reports, unit daily staff journals and general orders. The files are arranged by unit, and identification of the unit is necessary before a search can be conducted. They do not include personnel or medical information. We do not have a name index to the records.
