Military Permit Section, Civil Affairs Division - letters and documents

Question

My grandfather worked for a organization that sent students and supplies to Jewish members in the different military bases. I am looking to search up those letters back and forth. A reference of one such letter was dated May 24, 1946 sent by: 
 J. D. Scott Lt. Colonel, GSC Military Permit Section Civil Affairs Division

 Unfortunately, our records are not searchable by name and do not have a name index. To be able to conduct a search of our records we would need to know the name of the organization that was sending these letters. To identify the name of the organization we would recommend contacting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to see if they are aware of any such organization or if they have copies of any letters of interest. You may also want to reach out to the Franklin Roosevelt Presidential Library at roosevelt.library@nara.gov .
