Are there any records of Danish sailors serving the allied forces during WW2

Searching for any records of Danish seamen who enlisted on Allied ships during the Second World War. Working on an exam paper for history and my focus is on the Danish sailors who found themsekves outside the Danish borders when the country was occupied by the Germans in 1940

    Danish sailors who enlisted to serve with the U.S. American naval forces served aboard American Merchant Marine ships. If known, you may be able to research the activities of individual ships. However, this may only provide limited information regarding individual sailors. Additionally, you may be able to locate correspondence or policy records relating to the enlistment of Danish sailors. Unfortunately, this will require time consuming and in depth onsite research at the National Archives located College Park, Maryland.
