In 1946 my father worked as a civilian for the USAF 905th Air Engineering Squadron in Straubing AAB, Germany / Bavaria. At that time he was a so called displaced person after he (supposingly) escaped from Hungary at the end of WWII where he served as an aircraft mechanic in the Hungarian Air Force. Are there any records / files / data about him (Straubing AAB or maybe even before as a Hungarian / German POW)? First name: Anton - last name: Erhardt - born in: Keszthely (Hungary) - birthdate: 05-21-1922 (May 21, 1922). Due to the forced pre war hungarianization of German names his names used in his former Hungarian army papers / records could even be: Antal Erdelyi, or something like this. Thank you very much.
