I have two widow's pension cards for the same man, from Ancestry. They are for different units. His widow made an application for one in 1891. The card just lists the application # and there is no Pension # so I am assuming she did not get one for that service. I have received the second time she tried in 1892, which lists a different unit and a pension #. His doctor states that he served with him in the Unit that was listed on the first card, but the pension is based on his service on the second card.
Is it the same cost to get just the application, and is it worth it?
