Finding WWII records / Identifying patches

The larger rank patch is a Technical 3 Sgt., the smaller is a 6 month overseas service stripe and the yellow patch is a US Constabulary Patch for Europe. From wikipedia: The United States Constabulary was a United States Army military gendarmerie force. From 1946 to 1952, in the aftermath of World War II, it acted as an occupation and security force in the U.S. Occupation Zone of West Germany and Austria.

Actually, the smaller, single chevron is for Private First Class. A World War I wound chevron looked similar but was smaller. A World War II overseas bar was a single bar, and much smaller (they have remained unchanged since, except for the color of the material they're on--it matches the uniform color).
