Any unclassified sources available as I research my father's role serving the US on a mission in Cuba? Possibly after Cuban Missile Crisis through 1963 before JFK's assassination. He was a member of 3d Transportation (Ft. Eustis, VA) Beach Reconna

He mentioned a mission to recover a laser-guided tank system in USSR via landing in Czechoslavakia (said Iron Curtain was a joke), also said he had Castro in his sites but never knew why the mission was called off.  This later mission could possibly have been a part of the Cuban Missile Crisis unofficially I guess, because he wasn't yet a member of BRATs, but seems like maybe it would've been in 1963 and before Kennedy's death since he said everything they did was for him.
