We are uncertain if any federal agency studied this specific topic and, if so, sent records of such a study to the National Archives. However, there may be records on the topic of wartime production and information campaigns in the Records of the War Production Board (Record Group 179) in the Records of the Office of War Information (Record Group 208).
See the following for online finding aids available for these two record groups.
Record Group 179
Record Group 208

We suggest that you review these finding aids to get an idea of what types or records the National Archives has for these agencies and see if you can find any specific record series that you think may be useful in your research. You can also email us as archives2reference@nara.gov to inquire as to whether there are any additional finding aids not yet available online, or to inquire about specific record series or government offices which you have identified in your preliminary research as being potentially relevant to your research.
We hope this assists you with your research!
Sincerely,
