Hello, my uncle served in the Army during WWII. I've requested his records from St Louis, but in the mean time, I'm trying to decipher his unit type. I know he was infantry and that he was at both forts sheridan, IL and Camp Joseph T. Robinson, AR. Ine if his units was Co. U, 128th TA BN, 81st Regt IRTC.
My question is about the TA in the unit designation. Any idea what this would mean? I've searched google and not found anything.
