Question

Looking for information on Air Force COL Theodore Roosevelt Dale 1941 thru 1970. He served as an Air force Pilot during WWII and Korea. He flew the B-17, B-26,B-47, KC-135, was involved with the Korean Armistice Commission and Atomic Testing.

 If you have not already done so, we recommend that you request the Official Military Personnel File, or OMPF, of Theodore Roosevelt Dale. Official Military Personnel Files (OMPFs) and individual medical reports for those who served in the U.S. Air Force who were separated from the service after 1946 and prior to October 16, 1992 are in the custody of NARA's National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. In many cases where personnel records were destroyed in the 1973 fire, proof of service can be provided from other records such as morning reports, payrolls, and military orders, and a certificate of military service will be issued. You should at least be able to receive separation papers (form DD-214) which will list key points of his time in the service such as dates of his service, when he was deployed overseas, awards and decorations, and the unit he was assigned to upon separation from the military.
