Grandfather Col. Raymond F. Nicholson was in the Army Air Corp during WW2.

Grandfather Col. Raymond F. NIcholson was in the Army Air Corp (first class of cadets 1929) and was assigned to the War Dept in the Pentagon during WW2. Also possibly part of occupation forces in Europe post war. Unable to locate any service records (St. Louis fire) to investigate. Unable to identify insignia. Deceased in on duty air crash August 1950. Any kind of assistance is appreciated.
