Hello! My name is Christian Novak, and I am searching far and wide for anything, I repeat ANYTHING, that can help tell the story of the 388th Bomb Group of the Mighty Eighth Air Force during WWII. I am nearing the end of my Masters in Military History and plan to write a social history of the 388th BG for my final capstone. I have read the published anthologies, researched at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force archive, talked to several folks close to the 388th and it’s association, and familiarized myself with the treasure trove of sources on 388bg.com. Now, I am looking for any letters, diaries, stories, orders, maps, photographs, etc. that can help add substance and context to the 388th BG beyond operational details.
